The Iraqi source told the Tasnim News Agency that one of the main purposes of the American deployment in Iraq is to search for the pilot of the downed F-15 fighter jet.
The fate of the fighter jet’s pilot who was shot down on Wednesday morning is still unclear. The pilot has probably ejected outside Iran's borders but the Americans are afraid that Iran will arrest the American pilot.
